From the need to reduce / eliminate unpleasant outdoor of the existing basin, a floating covering solution was installed, characterized by the possibility to emulate / cover any surface model and also to be moved to another sites, if needed.

Cogeneration - Steam Turbine

Project Description:
In order to gain electrical energy by reducing steam parameters to a suitable temperature for thermal district services, Dalkia ThermoPrahova decide to install a back-pressure steam turbine which replaced the old cooling and pressure reduction station. Aplind & his partner Triveni delivered this turbine and ensured technical assistance from the design stage,up to commissioning stage. More than this Aplind & Triveni offered technical service for this turbine based on a maintenance contract, extended for 3 years.
Main design data of the back-pressure steam turbine:
36 t/hr saturated steam inlet steam at 17 bara; 36 t/hr. saturated steam at 2,75 bara; produced electricity: 2MWe / hr.

The cogeneration plant was built to ensure the necessary steam in the technological process and the electrical power produced is for own consumption.
